Webinar Series: #1 Skills Development
The first Webinar in the series “Capacity Building for EU” titled “#1 Skills Development for EUth” was held on January 25th from 4-6:30 PM Central European Time. The webinar was part of the Erasmus KA2 Project “EUth Voices for Social Change” and aimed to raise awareness among young people from Greece, Italy, and Spain about EU opportunities for developing their hard and soft skills.
The webinar covered the Erasmus+ Programmes Youth Exchanges and Training Courses, the European Solidarity Corps Volunteering program, and the Erasmus+ for people with disabilities, and provided attendees with access to resources and tools, as well as tips for the application process.
The webinar provided participants with valuable information and resources on EU opportunities for skill development presented by Marilena Maragkou, co-founder and Project Coordinator of Youthmakers Hub. Moreover, the participants had the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the application process for various programs, to find tools and sources where they can use for research.
Elpidoforos Chrysovergis, Founder of Wheeling2help, Accommodation and Events Manager at NISI Raches presented information of the ESC Volunteering process but also tips on applications and provided the criteria that most of the organisations select their participants. He also provided them with tips and strategies for improving their chances of being accepted into these programs.
Kalliopi Dalla National Coordinator of the Eurodesk Greece Network from the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation of Greece joined the webinar to present Eurodesk and European Youth Portal, two important sources and tools for participation in these projects.
Last, Sofia Mastrokoukou President and Fundraising Manager of the organization MYARTISTand Microkosmos. presented the Erasmus + for people with disabilities and raised awareness about tools for learning more about the importance of inclusivity and accessibility.
